{"id":7026,"date":"2024-04-14T22:46:41","date_gmt":"2024-04-14T20:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=7026"},"modified":"2024-04-14T22:47:25","modified_gmt":"2024-04-14T20:47:25","slug":"hamdok-the-continuation-of-the-war-will-not-restore-rights-stop-crimes-or-achieve-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=7026&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"\u200f Hamdok: The continuation of the war will not restore rights, stop crimes, or achieve justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Khartoum: Rhino &#8211; The Chairman of the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqadom), Dr. Dr. Abdullah Hamdok said on Sunday that their participation in the Paris conference comes in order to draw the attention of the world to the tragic conditions in Sudan, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities, given his country&#8217;s membership in the international community, and based on international covenants and treaties.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Hamdok said in a speech marking the one-year anniversary of the April 15 war: &#8220;This war did not erupt suddenly, but the reasons for its eruption were accumulating day after day, and we have been warning of the moment of its approach, talking about the disasters and calamities it will bring to our country, and calling for adherence to dialogue and peaceful means, inspired by this spirit from our great revolution, which stuck to its peacefulness despite all the violence, obstinacy and conspiracy it faced, and despite the columns of peaceful martyrs, whose only weapon was chanting.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">He added: (The war that is tearing our country apart is completing its first year, twelve months of death and destruction, and every day the suffering of the sons and daughters of our people increases, tens of thousands of civilians and military personnel of the Sudanese people have lost their lives, millions have been displaced between cities of displacement and countries of asylum, hunger, disease and poverty are killing millions. Hunger, disease and poverty are killing millions, the state is cut off and the lines of communication between them are severed, its infrastructure that was established with the effort and money of the people collapses, people lose their property and money that has been looted and plundered, and our country faces the danger of divisions on racial and ethnic grounds, which threatens complete collapse).<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Hamdok emphasized that the conspiracy against the December revolution began from its first day, by announcing commitment to its goals, then abandoning them and trying to kill them, as happened in the sit-in dispersal massacre.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This culminated in the coup that took place on October 25, 2021, announcing the end of the democratic transition and the coup against the revolution and its goals. However, the heroic resistance of the youth of the revolution, which never stopped, forced the putschists to retreat and try to look for a way out, but as has happened more than once, they blocked all the windows of light that the people offered them with great sacrifices and sacrifice, and led our country to this holocaust.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">He continued: &#8220;Despite all of the above and the events that took place, we have risen above all selfish and personal motives, and our compass remained focused on the interest, safety and security of our country and our people, and we made efforts, together with careful patriots, to prevent the situation from exploding, and internal and external contacts did not stop. However, the intention of some was to ignite the war, indifferent to its consequences and effects on the country).<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Regarding the violations during the April war, Hamdok said that they understand the magnitude of the grievances, grief and anger felt by those who were killed, robbed, looted, raped and forced to leave their homes, cities and villages, and that they respect their right to demand justice and retribution, and work for it: (However, we believe that the civilian, military and community political leaders should look beyond this and realize that the continuation of the war will not restore rights, stop crimes, or achieve justice and retribution, but rather it opens the door for more crimes and violations, destroys the remaining resources and wealth of the country, and threatens the lives of millions of others).<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8220;We do not deny the mistakes that were made, especially with regard to the unity of the revolutionary forces, which should have been above all considerations, because it is the only guarantee to preserve the revolution and its goals,&#8221; he said. The civilian forces, including parties, civil society, professional forces, and resistance committees, were preoccupied with small disagreements and opened gaps in the wall of the revolution through which the enemies of the revolution and the enemies of our country were able to penetrate.)<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">He added: &#8220;Our eyes have been and will continue to be open to the lives, peace and security of millions of our countrymen and women, and we do this without taking sides in the war, but at the same time we are not neutral or mediators. We are partial to the families of the martyrs, both military and civilian, and from all sides, to those whose money and property have been stolen and subjected to serious crimes and violations, to the millions who have been displaced from their areas and turned to sites of displacement and refuge, to the hungry and poor whose continued war exposes them to death before the eyes of the world, and to the national democratic program for a nation that includes everyone and for citizenship without discrimination).<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Hamdok pledged to work to stop the war and restore the democratic path through a transitional period.
