The Government of Peace reaffirms its support for the Mission\u2019s independence and mandate, and confirms its readiness to cooperate fully and constructively with it in accordance with international humanitarian law and international human rights law<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The government extended an official and open invitation to the mission to visit the areas under its administration, assess the humanitarian and human rights situations firsthand, access relevant sites, and freely hear from victims, survivors, witnesses, and local communities. It reaffirmed its commitment to providing the necessary facilities to enable the mission to carry out its tasks independently, professionally, and without interference.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The statement read: \u201cThe Government of Peace calls on the mission to continue conducting a comprehensive, independent, and non-selective investigation into all grave violations committed in the context of the Sudanese conflict, regardless of the identity of the perpetrators. In this context, we call on the mission to give serious attention to the violations attributed to the Sudanese Armed Forces, whose national sovereignty has been hijacked by the terrorist Islamic Movement, including attacks that have caused harm to civilians and civilian objects, and to investigate, document, and preserve evidence related to incidents that, if their legal elements are established, may amount to war crimes or crimes against humanity, and to determine responsibilities in accordance with international law&#8221;.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The statement added: \u201cThe Government of Peace calls, in particular, for a professional, independent, and urgent investigation into incidents involving the use of chemical weapons or agents in the context of the conflict. Given the exceptional gravity of these incidents, they require a rigorous technical, scientific, and legal investigation, including the examination of relevant facts and sites, the collection and preservation of evidence, hearing from victims and witnesses, determining the nature and source of the substances used, and establishing individual and institutional responsibilities based on evidence and established international standards&#8221;.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">It continued: \u201cThe Government of Peace\u2019s position is clear: justice must not be selective, and no party or individual should enjoy immunity from accountability for grave violations. Responsibilities must be determined on the basis of facts, evidence, independent investigation, and the rule of law.
