The decision gives residents one week to remove and demolish their homes.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The two organizations quoted residents of the Dongola locality, in the Salim Sabreen neighborhood of the East Dongola unit, as saying they were taken by surprise by the decision, which leaves some 5,000 families\u2014or about 11,000 citizens\u2014homeless.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In a joint statement, the organizations described the decision as unjust and tantamount to forced displacement, based on the justification that the area is \u201cinformal,\u201d asserting that the decision violates citizens\u2019 rights to housing.
