{"id":33783,"date":"2026-04-07T23:50:20","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T21:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=33783"},"modified":"2026-04-07T23:50:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T21:50:20","slug":"number-of-internally-displaced-persons-in-blue-nile-state-rises-due-to-deteriorating-security-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=33783&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Number of Internally Displaced Persons in Blue Nile State Rises Due to Deteriorating Security Conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Rhino: Agencies<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The UN Displacement Tracking Matrix revealed on Tuesday that the number of internally displaced persons in Blue Nile State has risen to 28,020, an increase of 18% over ten days, compared to 23,735 displaced persons recorded on March 25, This is a result of the deteriorating security situation in Blue Nile following fierce battles that erupted between the Sudanese Army and its allied militias on one side, and the Rapid Support Forces and the Popular Movement led by Al-Hilu on the other, which resulted in the \u201cTasis\u201d coalition forces taking control of the city of Al-Karmuk.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">According to data from the Displacement Tracking Matrix, the waves of displacement originated from several localities, most notably Bao, which recorded 13,130 displaced persons, followed by Al-Karmuk with 10,310 displaced persons, and then Qisan with 4,580 displaced persons.
