The United Nations and its partners are stepping up response efforts, with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society providing hot meals to newly arrived families.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">He added that in Darfur, a new report by Doctors Without Borders highlights alarming levels of sexual violence against women and girls, both in conflict zones and in displacement sites.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The findings indicate widespread abuse, underscoring the urgent need to ensure accountability and increase medical, psychological, and social support for survivors.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In North Kordofan state, measles cases are on the rise in displacement sites in El Obeid, the state capital, where hundreds of suspected cases have been reported in recent weeks.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Humanitarian workers are providing water, health, and nutrition services, while planning a vaccination campaign for April; however, the humanitarian response faces significant obstacles, including funding shortages, declining water availability, the arrival of new waves of displaced people, and delays in obtaining the necessary approvals to establish new health services.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) welcomed the announcement that Adr\u00e9 border crossing from Chad would remain open until the end of June to allow humanitarian supplies and workers to enter Sudan.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The Adr\u00e9 crossing is a lifeline for millions of people in the Darfur region, as well as in parts of Kordofan.
