However, Eid al-Fitr celebrations were cut short in El Daein, the capital of East Darfur. Two drone strikes carried out by the Sudanese military targeted the city\u2019s university hospital that evening, killing 70 people and wounding 146 others, according to the World Health Organization&#8221;.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The report stated: \u201cThe facility, which served as the main health center for two million people, is now out of service. The World Health Organization condemned another attack \u2018targeting civilian infrastructure and destroying any chance of survival.\u2019 In videos documented by Le Monde, the hospital\u2019s facade appears to have been severely damaged by the explosion. <\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The upper floor of the main building, which housed the emergency and trauma department, has been reduced to rubble.
