And why does it use the \u201cspecter of violations\u201d every time it suffers a military defeat?<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Since the outbreak of the war, Port Sudan has been transformed from a commercial crossing point and Sudan&#8217;s maritime gateway into a tool of widespread siege used to deprive millions of Sudanese of food, medicine, and basic necessities.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">All humanitarian shipments passing through the port are subject to political control by the Port Sudan authorities, which has nothing to do with humanitarian standards. Many shipments are delayed, detained, or returned without logical reasons, at a time when more than 25 million Sudanese are facing hunger and starvation.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The army is well aware that alternative routes\u2014whether across the western borders of Adri, Tine, and Libya or through South Sudan\u2014are extremely dangerous, costly, and limited in capacity, and cannot handle the transport of sufficient supplies to save millions of people. Nevertheless, the army leadership continues to obstruct the work of UN organizations and impose crippling restrictions aimed at creating a suffocating humanitarian crisis that can be used as political leverage.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Using the \u201cviolations card\u201d\u2014the weapon that appears with every defeat:<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Whenever the army suffers a setback on the ground or loses a strategic position, its leadership in Port Sudan repeats the same old story: accusations of violations, the publication of unsubstantiated statements, and attempts to create a new narrative to divert attention from the military reality on the ground.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This strategy has two objectives:<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1. Covering up military failures by creating media noise.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2. Confusing the international community and preventing it from forming a clear picture of who is responsible for the collapse of the humanitarian situation.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The bombing of UN convoys&#8230; the clearest evidence of deliberate starvation tactics:<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">It did not stop at administrative disruption.
