In a scene that defies belief and tramples on the very foundations of justice and transparency, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan\u2014the self-proclaimed leader of the so-called \u201cPort Sudan Authority\u201d\u2014has announced the formation of a committee to investigate allegations that the Sudanese army, now commonly referred to as \u201cAli Karti\u2019s Army,\u201d used chemical weapons.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The irony? These are the same accusations directed at al-Burhan himself, in his role as Commander-in-Chief of the army that stands accused of deploying toxic gases and banned substances against civilians.<\/span><\/h1>\n

So how does this make sense? How can the accused appoint himself judge, investigator, and jury in a case where he\u2019s the primary suspect?<\/span><\/h1>\n

Isn\u2019t this an outright insult to logic, to justice, to the intelligence of the public\u2014and to international observers?<\/span><\/h1>\n

This isn\u2019t just a lapse in judgment; it\u2019s a blatant example of how accountability has vanished. When a person or military force is accused of using internationally banned weapons, the investigation shouldn\u2019t be in-house. It should be independent internationally, especially when we\u2019re talking about crimes that threaten the lives of thousands of civilians.<\/span><\/h1>\n

But in the strange world of \u201cPort Sudan\u201d and the even stranger workings of \u201cAli Karti\u2019s Army,\u201d the accused is given full license to investigate himself. The result? A political sleight of hand that turns the tables of justice upside down.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Even worse, al-Burhan hasn\u2019t even bothered to deny the charges clearly and publicly. Has he decided that explaining himself isn\u2019t worth the effort? Isn\u2019t it his duty to address people to answer the accusations with transparency and clarity\u2014instead of hiding behind a committee that reports to him?<\/span><\/h1>\n

How can anyone trust the outcome of an investigation conducted by ministries and officials who ultimately answer to the very man being investigated?<\/span><\/h1>\n

Where is the credibility in such a charade?<\/span><\/h1>\n

There is no justice when the roles of the accused and the investigator overlap. These so-called “committees” are nothing but PR stunts\u2014meant to ease international pressure and patch up a crumbling domestic image. But they won\u2019t change the truth.<\/span><\/h1>\n

What\u2019s needed now is simple: an independent international committee. And a clear, direct response from al-Burhan himself. No more silence. No more maneuvering. No more hiding behind technicalities.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Because this entire act\u2014where the suspect becomes the investigator\u2014is nothing more than a tragic comedy. A dark theater that mirrors the reckless war ignited by the treacherous Muslim Brotherhood and its extremist militias in Sudan.<\/span><\/h1>\n

But no one is fooled. The curtain is lifting. Judgment is coming. And no twisted decision or sham committee will protect those who trample justice and human dignity.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The will of the people will not be broken\u2014by lies, by silence, or by cowardice hiding behind the illusion of law.<\/span><\/h1>\n
