We reiterate our call for an immediate end to the devastating conflict in Sudan, which continues to force Sudanese citizens to flee across our borders in search of safety. We urge the leadership of the Republic of Sudan to reaffirm its commitment to peaceful relations and to ensure that the public statements and actions of its officials reflect respect for international norms and the sovereignty of all states.\u2019<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The statement continued: \u2018Furthermore, we call on regional and international partners, including the African Union and the United Nations, to take note of these hostile statements and engage with the Republic of Sudan to prevent any escalation that could jeopardize regional peace and security. The Government of the Republic of South Sudan will take all necessary measures to protect its territorial integrity and the safety of its citizens.
