The media has been filled with videos of beheadings and extrajudicial killings in what is described as revenge and retaliation for alleged collaboration with the Rapid Support, which prompted many to call for the formation of an international commission of inquiry into these tragedies. Perhaps the most famous of these demands was made by the South Sudanese Foreign Minister following the massacre of Kabu Five Bud Madani. Will international commissions of inquiry succeed in stopping the army’s massacres and violations?<\/span><\/h1>\n

An ongoing demand Worst week:<\/span><\/h1>\n

Since the dispersal of the General Command sit-in on June 3, 2019, demands for the formation of international investigation committees have been ongoing due to the massacres and violations carried out by the army and its security and military agencies against revolutionaries, resistance committees and later demonstrators.<\/span><\/h1>\n

However, the determination on these committees has emerged more clearly, larger and louder recently, according to the gravity of the violations committed in one week since the war began, according to human rights activist \u201cRihab Al-Mubarak,\u201d as the second week of January witnessed the liquidation of a Sudanese citizen by discharging live bullets on him in Ombada by the special work forces of the Sudanese army on January 10, 2025, and the warplanes bombed Kab Al-Jadad in Al-Jazeera.<\/span><\/h1>\n

In addition to the killing of dozens of citizens and children on the same day, the Army Security and Intelligence Service also arrested Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali Al-Duwaikh, a member of the teachers’ committee in Um Ruwaba coming from Kampala and took him to Tandelti on January 12, 2025, and on the same day, the student \u201cMuhannad Majdi Ghanem\u201d was killed during the security authorities’ celebrations for the return of Madani city by a stray bullet fired by a member of the security forces.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The Sudanese army also killed dozens of people in Kambo (5) Taiba, east of Umm al-Qari, under the pretext that they were collaborating with the Rapid Support, burned two children and kidnapped 13 women and Adam Abkar on January 12. It was documented that a group of army soldiers tortured a number of citizens by making them creep on their stomachs, while beating, torturing and abusing them in the \u201cAl-Kariba\u201d area, under the pretext of their cooperation with the RSF on January 13, and the same day witnessed the arrest of Mr. \u201cAbu Bakr Mansour Mohammed Hamza, a lawyer,\u201d who was arrested today in Sinja city on charges of cooperating with the RSF by military intelligence, in addition to the army liquidating more than 20 people who have not yet been counted, \u00a0In \u201cKambo Halima, Maranjan, and Awwada\u201d under the pretext of their cooperation with the RSF, most of whom are from western Sudan.<\/span><\/h1>\n

In addition, Mohamed Abdullah was arrested in Karri by Military Intelligence after he returned to his home by bulldozer from Sennar State, to which he was displaced, on the pretext of his cooperation with the RSF more than a month and a half ago.<\/span><\/h1>\n

On January 14, a video was filmed of the slaughter of a citizen by a member of the army, stating that it was \u201cdignity\u201d to enter Wad Medani, as well as another video in which another citizen was liquidated by the armed forces under the pretext that his sister is married to a supporter. The video also documented the liquidation of a citizen after hanging a rope from his mouth and throwing him from the top of the Hantoub bridge after he was shot by the Baraa bin Malik Brigades.A video of the slaughter of a number of civilians with the sound of their rattle after the slaughter was broadcast by the ISIS battalions fighting alongside the Sudanese army.<\/span><\/h1>\n

A video of the killing and liquidation of a citizen after he was taken to the wall by an army regular wearing a turban, amidst crowds applauding the act, was also broadcast on the same day. Another video was broadcast of the burning of the \u201cShakaba Jack Kombo\u201d by the Sudanese army, according to one of the witnesses who spoke in the video.<\/span><\/h1>\n

On the same date, the Sudanese army arrested hundreds of people from the Farijab area near al-Hasahisa under the Strange Faces Act, and the detainees were transferred to al-Manakil. The Special Action Battalion also liquidated Rami Hassan Bashir al-Qadi. The same date witnessed an aerial bombardment by the armed forces’ aircraft on the market in the city of Mellit, North Darfur state, and the liquidation of the young man \u201cMuhammad Mustafa Hassan Abdulrahim\u201d from the Sanga Resistance Committees – Western Neighborhood, by special action forces.<\/span><\/h1>\n

On January 15, Adam Ahmeday Abdullah was killed by a shrapnel wound in Mellit market after the warplanes bombed Mellit market. On the same date, photos were circulated of the Sudanese army burying dozens in mass graves of civilians who were liquidated by the Sudanese army. On the same date, videos and photos of dozens of bodies of liquidated civilians lying on their faces in a large yard, and a number of army soldiers carrying rifles and mentioning that they got rid of the \u201cmold.\u201d<\/span><\/h1>\n

On January 16, the SPLM accused the Sudanese army of looting relief supplies and burning displaced people in the Hajar Jawad area.On the same date, a video was broadcast of Sudanese army members carrying severed human heads and cheering in the presence of an officer.<\/span><\/h1>\n

On January 16, 2025, warplanes targeted Goro market in the southern part of the belt, killing 8 people, all civilians, and injuring others with varying degrees of burns.<\/span><\/h1>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
