What happened in Kambo Khamsa, east of Umm al-Qura locality in Gezira State, is an extension of a series of attacks that require urgent action by the Sudanese army and joint forces to put an end to this humanitarian catastrophe.)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The Kanabi Central Committee drew attention to the fact that the warnings it had previously issued regarding the ongoing incitement against the Kanabi people did not receive the required response, which led to a dangerous escalation represented in the recent attacks committed by the Batana Shield militias against unarmed civilians \u201cled by the criminal Kikel.\u201d<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The statement reads: \u201cWe would like to emphasize that the Kanabi Congress has remained completely neutral towards the ongoing war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, out of our concern for the safety and security of the Kanabi people. Our position stems from our desire to avoid the involvement of the Kanabi people in armed conflicts that may expose them to further attacks, knowing that the Kanabi people have been subjected since the dawn of Sudanese history to violations and massacres against the Kanabi people.
