Although the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddam) decided to refer the project of forming an alternative government to the political mechanism, the issue of its formation still raises controversy between those who support its establishment in order to confront the policy of dividing the country and discriminating between its citizens, which is accused of practiced by the government in Port Sudan, and those who reject the project as a foundation for the actual division of the country by having two authorities in one country that dispute responsibility.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Sudanese Files met with Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, Chairman of the Revolutionary Front and Vice President of the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddam), and one of the supporters of the alternative government project and interviewed him about his vision of this project and its implications for the unity of Sudan and the unity of the civilian anti-war forces.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The Port Sudan government lacks legitimacy:<\/span><\/h1>\n

According to Dr. Alhadi Idris, since the October 25, 2021, coup against the civilian government, there is no longer any legitimacy to rule in Sudan. He noted that the African Union has frozen Sudan’s membership, and the world is dealing with the government as a de facto government.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The head of the Revolutionary Front stressed that the April 15 war ended and destroyed the entire constitutional system and there is no longer a presence in the center of power, which is represented by the capital Khartoum. He added that after the war, there is no longer a legitimate government, but there is a country called Sudan, with Sudanese citizens holding Sudanese nationality, in which there is no authority or government that can speak on behalf of the Sudanese people.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The Vice President of Taqaddam Coordination noted that they have repeatedly called on the parties to the war to go to negotiations in order to stop the war and establish a legitimate authority that would be able to provide services to the people and preserve Sudan as a state. The Jeddah platform and the Geneva negotiations failed due to the intransigence of the Islamic Movement, which is represented by the de facto authority in Port Sudan.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Steps towards the partition of Sudan:<\/span><\/h1>\n

In an interview with Sudanese Files, which aired on Wednesday, January 1, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris described the second party’s positive response to these calls by sending a delegation, but the other party continued to refuse. In light of this rejection, the Port Sudan government has been working to establish a legitimacy that it does not have, and from Port Sudan they have initiated measures that lead to the partition of Sudan.<\/span><\/h1>\n

He wondered where these students would go next, given that the majority of the headquarters of all large universities, which accommodate large numbers of students, are located outside the areas controlled by the army. This is an unacceptable politicization of education issues.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The vice president of Taqaddam Coordination addressed the issue of changing the currency, arguing that this is the establishment of a financial system in one part of Sudan and treating the other part as if it were outside Sudan. This can be interpreted as an invitation to Sudanese outside the military-controlled areas to establish their own financial system, which is also a step towards dividing the country. Even when it comes to the issuance of identity papers, whether nationality, national number or marriage vouchers, Sudanese are currently deprived of these services, while other Sudanese enjoy these services.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The Islamic Movement is the godfather of the division of Sudan:<\/span><\/h1>\n

In an interview with Sudanese Files, Dr. al-Hadi Idris said that the so-called \u201cstrange faces\u201d have been preventing the entry of Sudanese citizens from certain regions to some parts of the country or they will be arrested and tortured. He described all these measures as arbitrary measures that the de facto authority in Port Sudan is pursuing with the aim of dividing the country. This is not new to the Islamic Movement, which previously divided the country with the secession of South Sudan, because the Islamic Movement’s concern is to stay in power, even if in a small part of the country.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The head of the Revolutionary Front concluded that to prevent all this, we saw that it is necessary to establish a real authority that represents the Sudanese people and that is why we are talking about a government of peace in all parts of Sudan and not a government in exile. This government will address all these issues and provide the necessary services to the citizens and address the world on the issue of aerial bombardment by the de facto government targeting part of the citizens because of their presence in the areas controlled by the RSF, from which the army withdrew and fled, leaving the citizens to their fate.<\/span><\/h1>\n
