{"id":16347,"date":"2024-11-10T19:29:02","date_gmt":"2024-11-10T17:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=16347"},"modified":"2024-11-10T19:30:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T17:30:59","slug":"taqaddom-condemns-the-massacre-of-civilians-in-nyala-south-darfur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=16347&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"TAQADDOM condemns the massacre of civilians in Nyala, South Darfur"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Khartoum: Rhino &#8211; The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddam) condemned today, Sunday, what it described as the \u201chorrible massacre\u201d that took place in the city of Nyala, following an aerial bombardment by the armed forces that targeted the market of Bilil locality and a number of residential neighborhoods, including Riyadh and Khartoum, on Saturday afternoon, November 9, resulting in dozens of civilian victims, including women and children, and severe injuries, in addition to the destruction of property and vital facilities.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This heinous crime comes in the context of escalating violence and targeting innocent civilians, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and war crimes added to the record of horrific violations that our people have suffered since the outbreak of the war on April 15.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In a statement on Sunday, the coordination expressed its deep concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Nyala and called on the parties to the conflict to immediately cease all military actions in civilian areas, respect international humanitarian law and protect civilians.
