{"id":15696,"date":"2024-10-27T19:58:43","date_gmt":"2024-10-27T17:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=15696"},"modified":"2024-10-27T19:58:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-27T17:58:43","slug":"taqaddom-islamic-movement-plans-to-turn-sudans-conflict-into-a-civil-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhinosd.net\/?p=15696&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Taqaddom: Islamic Movement plans to turn Sudan&#8217;s conflict into a civil war"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Khartoum: Rhino The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddom) warned on Sunday of what it described as \u201cthe Islamic Movement&#8217;s plan to turn Sudan&#8217;s conflict into a civil war,\u201d and denounced the statements made by the commander of the armed forces in the state of Gezira, in which he indicated \u201ctheir readiness to distribute weapons to everyone who wishes,\u201d and considered it \u201can abandonment of the duty of the state to monopolize weapons, and implicating civilians in a destructive war that does not save or destroy.\u201d<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The Coordination stressed in a statement on Sunday that turning this war into a tribal and ethnic war is the plan of the Islamic Movement and elements of the former regime, adding: \u201cThis is the policy they followed throughout their thirty years of rule, where they armed the tribes and spread hate speech and racism, which led to the division of the country and the tearing of its social fabric. Today, they are repeating the same scheme, taking advantage of the popular anger over the war and the atrocities committed against civilians to achieve their destructive project, by infiltrating the security and military apparatus, manipulating the civil and tribal components, and using their media arms to increase the fire of tribal and regional strife in a way that threatens the cohesion and unity of the country\u201d.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The statement said: \u201cThe Islamic Movement and elements of the former regime are following the same criminal methods they used before in South Sudan, Darfur, the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile, during the years of their former rule, to spread sedition now in all parts of Sudan without scruples or conscience\u201d.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The Coordination called on the sons and daughters of Sudan to confront regional and tribal strife, avoid racist and hateful rhetoric, prevent the war from becoming a conflict between social components, and reject the spread of armaments that will lead to the destruction of Sudan&#8217;s future and turn it into a land controlled by gangs and warlords.<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The statement continued: \u201cThe way out of the disaster of the April 15 war will not be achieved through more war and destruction, but through arbitrating the voice of reason, reaching a peaceful, negotiated solution that preserves the unity, security and cohesion of the country, and establishing a state that reflects the unique diversity of its components with justice and equity, with a single professional and national army away from politics and economics, while dismantling the dominance of the former regime in the civil and military branches of the state, leading to a real democratic civil transition in which the people express their will without domination or discrimination.<\/span><\/h1>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Khartoum: Rhino The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddom) warned on Sunday of what it described as \u201cthe Islamic Movement&#8217;s plan to turn Sudan&#8217;s conflict into a civil war,\u201d and denounced the statements made by the commander of the armed forces in the state of Gezira, in which he indicated \u201ctheir readiness to distribute weapons &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":15697,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_feature_clip_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-15696","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sudan-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
