Rhino: Agencies – Yemen’s Houthi group said on Wednesday that it had targeted six ships in three different seas, including the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker Lux, which was damaged in a Houthi missile attack off the coast of Yemen on Tuesday.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a televised speech that the group also launched attacks on the Moria and Ceilidh in the Red Sea, the Alba and Maersk Hartford in the Arabian Sea, and the Minera Antonia in the Mediterranean.
The Iran-aligned group, which says its attacks are in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza war, has been launching drone and missile attacks in the Red Sea since November, later expanding to the Pacific.
It has vowed to attack any ship heading towards Israeli ports, even in the Mediterranean.
