The escalation of the conflict within the Islamic Movement between Al-Burhan and Ibrahim Mahmoud’s group

Khartoum: Rhino – The conflict between Sudanese army commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Islamic Movement has escalated, after Islamist leader Abdel Hay Youssef publicly criticized the army commander, accusations denied by Burhan, calling Abdel Hay a takfiri, referring to his stay abroad, and calling on him to return to Sudan to find out the truth of the matter
The commander of the Baraa Bin Malik Brigades of the Islamic Movement, Al-Musbah Abu Zaid Talha, posted a Facebook post in which he said: “The flesh of the scholars is poisoned, and God’s habit of tearing the curtains of their detractors is known.” The post was deleted minutes later without explanation.
According to observers, the dispute reflects a struggle for influence between the military and the group of Ahmed Haroun and Ali Karti, to which al-Burhan belongs, on the one hand, and the group of Ibrahim Mahmoud and Nafi Ali Nafi, on the other.
