Rhino: Agencies – Bayern Munich responded to the news that linked their player, Joshua Kimmich, with a move to Real Madrid next summer. Kimmich’s contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the current season, and no agreement has been reached on a renewal yet.
There have been reports over the past few days that Kimmich could leave Bayern, especially after he came out and criticized the Bavarian team’s performance after falling to Feyenoord three times in the Champions League, describing the team as no longer among the top of the old continent.
Kimmich has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, who have been missing his compatriot Toni Kroos since he announced his retirement at the end of last season. Christoph Freund, Bayern Munich’s sporting director, defied the speculation and told Sky Germany: “I am sure that Kimmich will eventually decide to stay with us and will renew his contract.”
