The Belgian Football Federation announced the injury of defender Thomas Meunier, ahead of facing Slovakia in the Euros on Monday.

The Turkish Trabzonspor player suffered the injury during the friendly against Luxembourg on Saturday, and left the game after 16 minutes of the first half.

‘Thomas Meunier will temporarily not be travelling to Germany on Wednesday due to a muscle injury,’ the Belgian federation said in an official statement on its Xbox account.

“There will be further tests in the next couple of days.

Belgium is in Group F, which includes Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.
