Dozens of civilians killed and wounded as army warplanes bombed Kandahar market

Rhino: Agencies – Sudanese army warplanes bombed Kandahar market in Omdurman on Sunday for the second time in less than two weeks, killing and wounding dozens of civilians, including women and children.

A video circulated on social media on Sunday showing the remains of civilians killed during the bombing of the market, located in the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

In North Darfur, Sudanese army aircraft bombed the town of al-Kuma with barrel bombs for the sixth time since the outbreak of the war, with no reports of casualties.

Since the outbreak of the war on 15 April last year, the army’s warplanes have been launching successive raids on various regions and cities in Sudan, killing hundreds of unarmed civilians.

The emergency lawyers said in a statement yesterday that the army’s warplanes carried out indiscriminate air strikes, as on 5 June, they bombed the village of Alaqa Al-Sheikh Al-Siddiq in Abu Ramta locality, killing nine civilians, and on 6 June, they bombed the village of Al-Qulayz in White Nile state, killing four civilians.
