Civilians killed and injured in army shelling of Kabkabiya, North Darfur

North Darfur: Rhino – Sudanese army warplanes bombed the city of Kabkabiya in North Darfur state on Wednesday, killing a number of children and women and destroying a number of houses over the heads of their inhabitants, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said in a statement on Wednesday: ‘The sight of children’s body parts scattered over the rubble of destroyed houses in Kabkabiya as a result of the air raid on innocent citizens confirms the state of frustration and despair possessed by the leaders of the Burhan militias due to the defeats they suffered in all battlefields.

The RSF condemned the destruction by the army’s warplanes of the Jili oil refinery north of Khartoum. It pointed out that the deliberate airstrikes on innocent civilians fall under the category of terrorist acts and violate all international and humanitarian laws.

The statement said: ‘The crimes committed against our people will not fall on the face of this land, rights will be returned to their people one by one, and together we will build a homeland worthy of us, an army that protects our land and a state where justice, freedom, democracy and peace prevail.

The statement continued: ‘The bombing of the Jili refinery reflects the state of the “kidnapped” army from the extremist elements of the former regime who seek to destroy the Sudanese people and the infrastructure built by our people with blood and sweat.
