Arrangements for Hamdok’s re-election and a new structure for Taqaddum at the Constituent Assembly

EXCLUSIVE: Rhino – influential sources in the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddam) revealed a new organizational structure to be formed at the founding conference held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa from 26 May to 29 May, consisting of two general bodies, the leadership and the executive office.
The sources, who spoke to Rhino, announced arrangements to re-elect Dr Abdullah Hamdok as head of the leadership body, accompanied by two deputies, and a membership of 117.
He pointed out that the structure begins with the General Assembly, which consists of 670 members, the number of participants in the constituent conference, and 120 members are elected to the leadership body, which is the legislative body, in addition to an executive body consisting of 450 members, of which 25 members are elected to form the executive office of the coordination, to elect the secretary general of the office, and the heads of sectors and specialized committees.
The same sources confirmed that the structure to be formed at the founding conference is based on broadening the base of participation in legislative and executive work, so that it accommodates as much potential as possible to help strengthen the organizational work.
The total number of participants in the conference may reach 670 participants, representing civil and professional forces, parties and factional sectors at home and abroad.
