Khartoum: Rhino – Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Commander General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo said on Tuesday that he received a phone call from the High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, during which we discussed the current situation in Sudan, the conditions facing civilians and providing them with protection, in addition to delivering humanitarian aid to those in need.
In a tweet on his personal account on the ‘X’ platform on Tuesday, he assured Mr. Türk of the RSF’s respect and commitment to its obligations under the rules and principles of international law and international humanitarian law, taking into account humanitarian needs and protection of civilians, and full cooperation with humanitarian organizations working to deliver aid to civilians in all regions of Sudan.
‘Moreover, I assured him that we have been, are and will continue to be advocates of peace, we did not start the war, nor do we wish to continue or expand it, and that peace needs a real will, which the other party does not have.
