Six civilians killed and two children injured when a shell fell on their house in southern Khartoum

Rhino: Agencies – Six civilians were killed and two children were injured when a shell fell on their house on Sunday in Al-Salama area south of Al-Hizam, Khartoum state.

Siham Saleh, a member of the media office of the South Belt Emergency Room, told Radio Tamazuj that six members of one family were killed, including the mother and grandmother of the family, and two children were injured, in the South Belt area in the old Salameh neighborhood, square ‘1’ as a result of a shell falling on their house.

The injured children sustained head, abdominal and thigh fractures, and one of them had his right hand amputated, she said.

The two injured children are the only survivors of the family, she said.

The South Belt emergency room is treating and caring for the children and providing them with 50,000 pounds in support, food and medical treatment, she said.
