Umma party condemns the army’s violations against South Sudanese citizens in Gezira State

Khartoum: Rhino – The National Umma Party expressed on Friday its deep regret for the horrific violations against South Sudanese nationals, as well as Nubians, residents of Kanabi, villages and the city of Wad Madani in Gezira State, by the armed forces and allied militias, describing the attack as heinous crimes that shocked the human conscience and crimes that have no relation to humanity, which led to repercussions and protest demonstrations in Juba.

The party added in a statement on Friday: (The party strongly condemns these grave violations that claimed the lives of South Sudanese citizens and innocent citizens in Jazira State, it sends a message of condolence and sympathy to His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his government, the people of South Sudan and the families of the victims, and declares its solidarity with them, and highly appreciates the statement of calm issued by the press office of the President of South Sudan, the party emphasizes the twinning relations between the two brotherly people, which will remain firm and strong despite the desperate attempts of seditionists and dark forces to continue their criminal approach against the citizens).

The National Umma Party emphasizes that these criminal practices do not represent the bereaved Sudanese people who were welcomed by their people in the South with open arms and generosity in their second home, and that what happened does not represent the Sudanese people and is an extension of the policies of extremism, violence and sedition that aim to sabotage bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries. The people of Sudan and South Sudan will surely stand united against the forces of sedition and evil to consolidate fraternal relations and protect the bonds of love and peace.
