Joselu’s double sears Bayern and sends Real Madrid into the Champions League final

Rhino: Agencies – Substitute Joselu Mato led Real Madrid to a 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday night in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. At the Santiago Bernabéu.

Joselu scored in the 88th and 90+1 minutes, while Alfonso Davies scored for Bayern Munich in the 68th minute.

Vinicius Jr. had a shot from the edge of the box, but it went just wide of Neuer’s goal in the 14th minute.

Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry picked up an injury and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel decided to bring on Alfonso Davies instead.

Harry Kane’s volley from inside the box was saved by Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin in the 27th minute.

Vinicius Junior continued his efforts with a powerful shot that was saved by Manuel Neuer in the 39th minute.

The first half ended in a goalless stalemate.

At the start of the second half, Vinicius Júnior broke free and dribbled past Kimmich before firing a shot that was cleared for a corner by Dyer in the 51st minute.

Harry Kane was quick to respond, firing a powerful shot into the box, but Andriy Lunin made a fine save to deny him.

Bayern Munich defender Matthias de Licht scored an own goal in the 72nd minute to give Real Madrid the equaliser.

However, the referee went back to the video technology and found that Nacho Fernandez had fouled Joshua Kimmich before the ball reached the penalty area and decided to cancel the goal.

Ancelotti decided to bring on Joselu to reinvigorate the attacking line, and he equalized in the 88th minute, as Vinicius’ shot was saved by Neuer, and Joselu easily put the ball into the back of the net.

Joselu soon added his second goal of the match, receiving a cross from the right wing through Antonio Rüdiger and putting the ball past Neuer in the 91st minute to send Real Madrid through to the Champions League final.
