Hemedti discusses the SAF bombardment of civilians in Darfur with Lamamra

Rhino: agencies – Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Mohamed Hamdan Daglo said on Sunday that he discussed developments in Sudan and the difficult humanitarian conditions Sudanese people are going through during a phone call with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General Ramtane Lamamra.

 Hemedti said in a tweet on his personal account on the “X” platform on Sunday, that the discussion during the call touched on the situation in North Darfur state, and the deliberate and systematic aerial bombardment with barrel bombs on innocent civilians, which affected even livestock.

“I stressed to Ramadan Al-Amamra that we are exercising our legitimate right to “self-defense” in the face of the aggression to which we have been subjected since the first day of the war, and we will continue to defend ourselves on all fronts”, he added. 

“I also stressed that in the context of alleviating the humanitarian suffering of our people, we are ready to cooperate fully with the United Nations and relevant humanitarian organizations to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to beneficiaries throughout the country”.
