Khartoum: Rhino – On Friday, the Alliance of the Sons of Al-Jazirah and Al-Managil demanded a halt to the activities of the terrorist Al-Baraa bin Malik Brigades and “Sudan Shield” militias within the state, as well as the immediate closure of all recruitment offices affiliated with the Justice and Equality Movement, declaring its categorical rejection of all attempts at military expansion. In a statement, the coalition announced its rejection of the actions of all entities seeking to impose a parallel military reality within the villages and cities of Al-Jazirah and Al-Managil.
The statement read: “Attempts to recruit and mobilize youth under the names ‘Sudan Shield’ or ‘Al-Bara’un Brigades’ represent a stab in the back of social peace and a harbinger of civil war in the state.”
The statement warned against turning Al-Jazirah into a battleground for settling scores and called on the state’s residents to engage in popular civil resistance, monitor, and reject any activities by these groups, adding: “The land of Al-Jazirah, watered by the sweat of hardworking people, will not be desecrated by the boots of militias or war profiteers.”
