Rhino: The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have announced significant steps to curb the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region. This comes in line with their unwavering principle and moral obligation to meet the needs of citizens in both urban and rural areas.

Comprehensive guidelines have been issued to RSF commanders and officers to ensure the fulfillment of the pledge to facilitate humanitarian access and deliver essential assistance to individuals in all towns, villages, and rural areas under their protection.

RSF leadership has emphasized the importance of unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance, stressing the need to safeguard teams and volunteers from humanitarian organizations.

The force’s leadership has made it clear that it will not tolerate any interference in the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The directives issued by the RSF Command highlight the commitments that have been in place since the signing of the Jeddah Declaration, which focused on improving humanitarian access.

This commitment was further reinforced by the introduction of the “Lifeline” project and was reaffirmed in recent dialogues with a range of global actors, including international organizations, with the aim of addressing obstacles to the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The RSF has expressed its eagerness to reach agreements that prioritize the protection of civilian lives above all else.

The force has reiterated its commitment to adhering to and respecting international conventions and treaties that govern humanitarian efforts.

The RSF has urged the international community and organizations to fulfill their obligations to provide urgent support to hundreds of thousands of women, children, and elderly people facing the threat of disaster.
