WHO supports the continuation of the therapeutic service at Al Daein Hospital

Al Daein – Rhino: The World Health Organization (WHO) has supported the hospital of Al Daein in East Darfur state, by providing fuel for the hospital’s electricity, and incentives for workers for two months.

The director general of the Ministry of Finance in East Darfur, Dr. Ahmed Bakkar said that the state’s budget for this year is for three items, which are “health, water and security.”

He added: “The Ministry of Finance has been committed for a long time to provide fuel and the environment that attracts doctors, which contributed to the stability of therapeutic services, and we contribute to the provision of life-saving medicines”.

Bakkar praised the contribution of the World Health Organization to provide two barrels of fuel per day, to light Al Daein hospital, and to pay financial incentives to doctors and hospital staff for two months, starting from February 20. He pointed out that the Ministry of Finance’s support for the hospital will turn to water, and he added: “We look forward to entering another organization in the field of water, to help the residents of East Darfur provide drinking water”.
