Namibia’s President Hage Geingob dies

Rhino: The Namibian presidency announced on Sunday the departure of the president Hage Geingob at the age of 82, at a hospital in Windhoek.

He was receiving treatment after discovering he had diagnosed with cancer cells were discovered, the presidency announced a message in X platform (formerly Twitter).

The message said, Geingob who had been president of Namibia since 2014, was surrounded by his wife and children when he died at hospital in the capital.

Geingob had health problems before coming to power in the year 2014 when he won election with 87% of vote.
