60 Civilians Killed as the Army Targets the Al-Majaneen Market in Al-Nahud with an Airstrike

Al-Nahud: Rhino – The death toll from the airstrike that targeted the popular Al-Majaneen Market in the city of Al-Nahud in West Kordofan State has risen to about 60 civilian deaths, including women and children, in addition to a number of wounded, according to eyewitnesses and local sources in the city.

Two consecutive airstrikes occurred; the first targeted the market before civilians could gather to evacuate the victims and transport the dead and wounded, and the area was then hit by a second strike that killed 29 more people, according to preliminary statistics.

A number of victims and injured people—mostly women and children—were transported to Al-Nahoud Hospital amid extremely difficult medical and humanitarian conditions and a lack of resources, while there are fears that the death toll will rise due to the severity of the injuries.
