Rhino: Agencies – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres held a phone call with Sudanese army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on Saturday.

Guterres discussed with Al-Burhan the movement of humanitarian aid through the Adri border crossing, according to a statement from the Secretary-General’s Spokesperson’s Office. They agreed to facilitate the movement of humanitarian supplies into the country.

They also agreed that the UN would work in parallel with the Sudanese authorities to develop a simplified system for the rapid processing and delivery of humanitarian aid.
