Rhino: Follow-up – Islamist leader Al-Naji Mustafa submitted an official memorandum to government agencies and human rights organizations demanding an investigation into the legality of the detention of Omar al-Farouq al-Tahir, whom his family says has been detained since April 16, 2026, without being charged or given a reason for his continued detention.
Al-Naji Mustafa addressed his letter to the General Intelligence Service and to local and international human rights organizations, noting that the period of detention has exceeded the time limits stipulated in the amended General Intelligence Service Law of 2024, and that the measures taken are not in accordance with Articles 43, 44, and 46(1) of the law.
