Ammar Amon Daldum, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in peace Government
Rhino: Follow-up – Ammar Amon Daldum, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of Peace, met with the Head of the Norwegian Mission to Sudan, Mr. John Anton, and his Deputy, Ms. Marti Lea, in Nairobi. They discussed Norway’s ongoing humanitarian support for Sudanese displaced persons through organizations under the United Nations, the Quintet Initiative, and the international community’s concern over the possibility of the remaining parts of Sudan being divided once again.
The minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to what was declared in its founding charter and the Transitional Constitution of Sudan for the year 2025, noting that the international community must not apply double standards and should maintain neutrality toward the warring parties, He emphasized that exerting pressure on the Founding Alliance without applying similar pressure on the Port Sudan Authority, as is currently the case, does not contribute to achieving a just and sustainable peace.
