Rhino: Agencies – Benfica will face Barcelona with the threat of losing a number of their players in the return leg, according to a Spanish press report on Tuesday. Benfica will host Barcelona tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Dalos Stadium, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Benfica enters tomorrow’s match amid doubts about Di Maria’s readiness, and the absence of Ba, Renato Sanchez, Manu Silva and Thiago Gouveia.

The newspaper added that left-back Alvaro Carreras, center-back Nicolas Otamendi, and Coxho, Ursinus and Zaki Amdouni are under threat of suspension if they receive a (third) yellow card in the first leg. The aforementioned quartet are key players for Benfica. Barcelona, on the other hand, do not have any players at risk of missing the second leg, as most of their players have one yellow card.

The second leg will take place on Tuesday at Barcelona’s Luis Companys Olympic Stadium.
