Rhino: Agencies – Twenty-three civilians were killed in an attack carried out by a Sudanese army drone on Monday morning on the Jabal Issa area of the Malha locality in North Darfur state.
The online newspaper Al-Jamaheer quoted Issa Babiker, a local dignitary, as saying that the drone targeted the Jabal Issa market on Monday morning with several missiles, all of which fell in the middle of a gathering of citizens at the weekly market.
He added: “The attack killed 23 people who were inside the market, and the market was completely burned down as a result of intense fires in the shops, which led to major financial losses among traders in the area. A number of residents of the Jabal Issa area called for urgent intervention to stop the targeting of civilian targets in Darfur, in videos posted on social media.
