Three Sudanese Stranded at Arqin Border Crossing Die Due to High Temperatures

Khartoum: Rhino – Three Sudanese nationals returning from Egypt died at the Arqin border crossing, while more than 10,000 citizens face dire humanitarian conditions after being stranded for three consecutive days under scorching sun with temperatures exceeding 46 degrees Celsius.

Saheeh Al-Sudan news website reported, citing returning citizens, that transport companies collected the full cost of tickets and luggage shipping to Khartoum and other cities from them, but left them at the crossing after they disembarked from the Egyptian buses, where they were asked to pay an additional 250,000 Sudanese pounds per person to reach Omdurman.
