Clashes Loom in the Triangle Border as Army and RSF Build Up Tensions in the area

Rhino: Agencies – On Saturday, Rapid Support Forces (RSF) ordered miners in the border triangle region between Sudan, Egypt, and Libya—which they control—to leave their mines immediately to save their lives. The Sahih Sudan news website quoted one of the miners as saying that massive military reinforcements from the RSF had arrived in the area and begun deploying throughout it.

The website cited informed sources as saying that the army and the Joint Forces had amassed large numbers of troops on the outskirts of the area, in what appeared to be preparations for a decisive battle on the country’s northern border. The Rapid Support Forces have controlled the border triangle since last year following the army’s withdrawal from the area.
