Khartoum: Rhino – social media circulated on Thursday the news of the escape of the Ikhwan leader “Ahmed al-Saleh Saluha” accompanied by a number of members of the Islamic Movement in the Kordofan region abroad, after they received five million dollars to mobilize the tribes for the civil war in the region.
The intelligence of the army fighting alongside the Islamic Movement has been active in trying to involve ethnic groups in its war against the RSF, after two consecutive defeats suffered by the army within 24 hours at the hands of the RSF in Maak, Gezira State, after Commander “Abu Aqla Kikel” joined the army forces, the latest of which was the “nafir” called by the grandson of the headmaster of the Shukriya tribe, who belongs to the Islamic Group.
According to the news, Port Sudan authorities were chasing Saluha and his companions, who fled to Sudan’s neighboring Egypt and Uganda after receiving the money, which was paid for tasks related to inciting tribes in Kordofan against each other and against the RSF.
Ahmed al-Saleh has been haunted by suspicions of corruption since he was deputy governor of West Kordofan state during the era of ousted Bashir, in the so-called “West Kordofan Development Authority” file, whose budget was looted by “Saluha” and his companions.
