56 dead, including 17 children: preliminary toll from the army’s massacre in Kutum

North Darfur: Rhino – The death toll from the attack launched by the Sudanese army on Wednesday using a drone against a wedding celebration in the Al-Salam neighborhood of Kutum, North Darfur, has risen to 56, including 17 children, with 107 wounded, while rescue operations are still ongoing, according to eyewitnesses from the city.

The Sudan Founding Alliance condemned the attack in a statement, describing it as a heinous crime and stating that it is “an extension of the racist and criminal army’s approach,” calling on Sudanese people to expose the practices of this army and “stand behind the Sudan Founding Alliance and its forces to be rid of this terrorism.”

The statement read: “We call on the international community and its institutions to designate this criminal army as a terrorist group and a terrorist organization, for it is neither an army of Sudan nor a national institution. We reserve the right to respond to this crime, and we affirm our commitment to continuing the struggle to rid ourselves of these criminals and liberate all Sudanese territory from them.”
