Sudanese community in UAE condemns Iranian aggression

Khartoum: Rhino – The Sudanese community in the United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms what it described as Iranian attacks targeting the country’s territory and threatening the security of citizens and the safety of residents and visitors on its soil. The attacks were described as a clear violation of the principles of good neighborliness, respect for sovereignty, and the rules and norms of international law that criminalize the targeting of civilian facilities and endangering the lives of innocent people, according to a statement issued by the community today.

The statement said: “We express our full solidarity with the leadership and people of the UAE in confronting any aggression that affects its security and stability. we affirm that the security of the UAE is an integral part of the security and stability of the region. It is a model country that is considered a fundamental pillar of peace, security, and safety for the peoples of the region and for the lives and stability of hundreds of thousands of Sudanese who have found a safe haven and opportunities for work and a dignified life there.”

The statement added: “The UAE has embraced the people of Sudan for decades and opened its doors to more than 300,000 Sudanese residing on its soil, many of whom came as refugees due to the ongoing war in our country. It has provided them with protection, care, and a decent livelihood, in a brotherly and humanitarian gesture that deserves appreciation and gratitude.”

It continued: “In this context, the community expresses its surprise and astonishment at the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the de facto government in Port Sudan, which is far from the feelings and conscience of the people of Sudan towards their brothers.”

It added: “The statement issued by an authority that is not recognized by most Sudanese because it is a coup authority is detrimental to Sudan, the Sudanese people, and sister countries, and the failure to condemn such brutal aggression and deliberate disregard cannot come from us.
