Khartoum: Rhino – The powerful Sumoud Revolution Alliance condemned what it described as brutal aggression against Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The coalition denounced the Iranian regime’s attack, despite its knowledge of the positions of these countries, which had early on announced their rejection of escalation in the region and called for calm and diplomatic means to resolve disputes.
The coalition added in a statement today: “We affirm our solidarity with the leadership and people of these sister countries, and we demand an immediate end to these attacks. We also call on all parties to abide by international humanitarian law, which calls for the protection of civilians and criminalizes attacks on civilian institutions.”
The statement added: “We emphasize the rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism, and activities that undermine regional and international security, and we call on the international community to give preference to peaceful diplomatic solutions in resolving issues that are the source of local, regional, and international conflict.
