Press statement regarding the briefing by the Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to UN Security Council

Ms. Nazhat Shameem Khan, Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, briefed the UN Security Council yesterday, Monday, January 19, 2026, saying that based on the information and evidence available to her, Darfur is being subjected to mass torture at the very moment she is speaking! Where is Ms. Nazhat talking about? Is she talking about Darfur, which has not witnessed any tribal conflict since the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood army was defeated there and the military intelligence that was sowing discord and tribalism among the Sudanese and their tribes was eliminated?

The Deputy Attorney General said that the fall of El Fasher—as she claimed—was accompanied by an organized and systematic campaign of suffering targeting non-Arab communities.

These statements are completely untrue, as the peak of suffering, racism, tribalism, inter-tribal wars, and incitement of tribes against each other was carried out by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group, its army, and its militias.

Unfortunately, what our people in El Fasher suffered, regardless of their different backgrounds, was due to the joint mercenary forces that allied themselves with the criminal Al-Burhan and abandoned their neutrality in this war in exchange for a handful of money.

The Deputy Attorney General’s briefing contained many fallacies and statements that are nothing more than part of the false media campaigns that, unfortunately, the international community has been swept up in without seeking to uncover the facts.

We have previously stated in many statements that we welcome and accept fact-finding committees formed by international institutions, and we request their presence in areas controlled by the Government of Peace and the Founding Alliance to hear the testimonies of citizens there and see the destruction that the instigators and beneficiaries of the war insist on and continue to cause, rejecting any initiative to stop it.

Unfortunately, however, to date, none of the members of these commissions or the members of the Criminal Court have visited the areas under our control to hear the Sudanese people there.

Sadly, international organizations and bodies continue to apply double standards, at least in terms of visiting different areas of Sudan and hearing the Sudanese people, which are the most basic of rights.

We remind the International Criminal Court that those wanted by this court and by international justice are now in areas controlled by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood army, enjoying freedom, luxury, and protection from Al-Burhan and his gang, who refuse to hand them over to the Criminal Court as requested by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. Instead, they are leading this war, rejecting any initiative to stop it, stealing the country’s resources, and displacing its people.

We remind the International Criminal Court and the Deputy Prosecutor that Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who refuses to stop the war, protects those wanted by the Court, and prevents their surrender, was the one who issued orders to Ali Kosheib, whose trial you described yesterday in your briefing as an important and first step towards achieving justice. The real criminal remains at large and continues his crimes.

We in the Sudan Founding Alliance will continue to reveal the truths of this war to the whole world and to the Sudanese people first, and we will not allow any misinformation or obscuring of the truth to continue.

The revolution continues.
