Khartoum: Rhino – The Sudanese Congress Party condemned what it described as systematic social cleansing and the policy of organized killing practiced against civilians in the Kordofan region, noting that these are brutal crimes committed against unarmed civilians.
In a statement, the party said that the attacks targeted several villages in Kordofan, resulting in the killing of 220 civilians, the kidnapping of 912 people, and the looting of property. It held the military and political leaders involved fully responsible for these crimes.
The joint forces allied with the army launched an attack on a number of villages and population centers, including the areas of Al-Ban Jadid and Al-Alooba and neighboring pastoral communities, then continued their advance towards the Khashm Al-Wadi area, reaching the Al-Hamra areas, where the attack killed more than 200 citizens, most of them elderly people, women, and children.
