Rhino: Agencies – While Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Sunday refused to say how she voted on a key measure in a California statewide vote that would overturn criminal justice reforms in the state approved in recent years, she announced that she did vote.

The candidate avoided answering a question about the ballot measure during her remarks to reporters while campaigning in the swing state of Michigan. However, the vice president announced that she had voted by mail, saying, “I just filled out my ballot (and sent it) through the mail,” adding that “my ballot is on its way to California,” her home state. She also confirmed, two days before Election Day, that her mailed ballot was “on its way to California.”

“I’m not going to talk about voting on this measure, because frankly it’s Sunday before the presidential election and I don’t intend to find support one way or the other for this measure,” said Harris, who previously served as San Francisco district attorney, California attorney general and U.S. senator before being elected vice president in 2020.
