Press statement from TASIS alliance regarding Port Sudan’s suspicious agreements with foreign parties

Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS)

Press statement regarding attempts by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to conclude illegal agreements and continue stealing resources of the Sudanese people.

The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) sends a clear warning and cautionary message to states, governments, and regional and international institutions against dealing with or involve in any form of cooperation or agreements with the so-called de facto authority in Port Sudan, which is led by the Muslim Brotherhood army and the coup authority that emerged from it.

TASIS Alliance affirms that any agreements, memoranda of understanding, or sovereign commitments, whether political or economic, signed with what is known as the “Port Sudan Authority” have no popular recognition or legitimacy and are considered invalid measures lacking constitutional and legal basis, considering that this coup authority seized power by force on October 25, 2021, then continued to undermine the constitutional document, and subsequently engaged in igniting war against the Sudanese people on April 15, 2023, resulting in widespread destruction and gross violations.

The Sudan Founding Alliance clearly declares that the peoples of Sudan will resist by all legitimate means any suspicious agreements or sovereign arrangements concluded by “Port Sudan gang,” especially in light of its involvement in disposing of Sudanese land and the country’s sovereign resources, selling or mortgaging them to foreign parties for the purpose of financing its war, in order to cling to power illegally.

Accordingly, the alliance declares to states, governments, regional and international bodies that the so-called Port Sudan Authority does not represent or express the will of the Sudanese people, and that all agreements it concludes with external parties will remain politically and legally void and will not be recognized or considered legitimate, either now or in the future.
