For his part, Regional Director Patrick Youssef revealed the Red Cross’s plan to expand humanitarian operations in the peace government areas, including opening new offices, and expressed his desire to respond urgently to the needs of displaced persons and communities affected by the war.
Youssef added that the Red Cross is committed to international law and local government laws, pointing out the need to avoid politicizing humanitarian work amid the ongoing war in the country.
