Rhino: Agencies – President Donald Trump announced to Just the News on Sunday morning that he will designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization, in a major blow to the group that has long been accused of destabilizing the Middle East and radicalizing Muslim youth.

Trump added: “This will be done in the strongest and most emphatic terms. The final documents are currently being prepared.”

The president’s announcement came a few days after Just the News published an extensive report on the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood and growing concerns within the US administration. The news site revealed that Trump had been considering this move since his first term.

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded as a religious group nearly a century ago in Egypt, but it has branches, parties, and affiliated movements throughout the world.

Last week, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott designated the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as “foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations.”
