Khartoum: Rhino – The Rapid Support Forces “RSF” welcomed on Friday the intensive international efforts regarding the situation in Sudan, stating that it is following them with great interest and appreciation.

“RSF” expressed their sincere gratitude to His Excellency President Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, and the other leaders of the Quartet, for their valued efforts and commendable endeavors to mediate in the Sudanese conflict, “in order to stop the war imposed on us and end the suffering of our people.”

“RSF” added in a statement on Friday: “As we announce our full and serious response to these initiatives, we assure the Sudanese people and the international community that the real obstacle to achieving peace is the gang that controls the decisions of the armed forces, consisting of remnants of the former regime and leaders of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood organization, who ignited this war with the aim of returning to power on the backs of innocent people”. 

The statement reads: “The Rapid Support Forces renew their unwavering commitment to the Sudanese people and the international community not to back down from our people’s goals and aspirations to dismantle the state of empowerment and corruption established by Islamists within the military and other state institutions, and to move forward in addressing the roots of the crisis and building a new Sudan with a single professional national army free of extremist ideologies”.
