North Kordofan: Rhino – The Rapid Support Forces announced on Monday that they had achieved a crushing victory over the army forces and allied militias in the Um Sayala area of North Kordofan state, confirming that they had forced them to retreat to the outskirts of the Al-Alaqa area in White Nile state.

In a statement today, they added: “On Monday, the Rapid Support Forces achieved a crushing victory over the terrorist Islamic Movement army and mercenaries in the Um Sayala area of North Kordofan State, destroying their entire mobile force and chasing the remnants of their fleeing forces to the outskirts of the Al-Alaqa area in White Nile.”

The statement said: ” The Rapid Support Forces fought a decisive battle that ended with the enemy suffering heavy losses in lives, with more than 470 killed, in addition to the seizure of more than 60 combat vehicles equipped with all their military equipment, including cannons and ammunition, and the destruction of more than 30 vehicles, eliminating any ambitions of the remnants to control the area.

The statement added: “Our forces are fully alert and ready to decisively respond to any movements by the Islamic Movement’s army and its mercenary allies. We affirm our forces’ determination to continue advancing steadily until complete liberation, the overthrow and dismantling of the “terrorist gang,” the establishment of justice, and the continuation of building a new Sudan based on the foundations of freedom, justice, and equality.”
